I checked out this book from the library the other day thinking Kennedy would enjoy it and then of course, because 'tis the season for Thanksgiving (and the author of the book made it appealing too). It's a cute story and at the end Louisa May Alcott shares a family recipe of hers for "Apple Slump". Kennedy and I enjoy baking together, so we gave the recipe a try.

Louisa May Alcott (November 29, 1832 – March 6, 1888) was an American novelist. She is best known for the novel Little Women, set in the Alcott family home, Orchard House in Concord, Massachusetts and published in 1868. This novel is loosely based on her childhood experiences with her three sisters.

I LOVED Little Women, so we may have to see if we can find this book for November. How was the Apple Slump? What a cute mom you are!
Amber~The apple slump was quite yummy. The topping was cake like and not too sweet which was a good thing because the apples were very sweet. You should give it a try :)
Alright my friend....the Louisa May Alcott house it less than an hour from my house. Come visit, we could have a good time :)
(love the song on your blog..go Chris Ledoux)
